Overview

Ver.iD is a credential lifecycle platform, and we are building it out so organisations can manage credentials from end to end, backed by official wallets. We work closely with companies running pilots that experiment with real use cases, and the Ver.iD Playground is where that work becomes something you can try yourself: an open proving ground built around a fictional "Acme" company, showing how an online business would integrate identity wallets through disclosure, issuance, or authentication flows.

From concept to production. Real identity wallet scenarios, real results. Every scenario carries a maturity badge: Concept for interactive demos, Pilot for scenarios running in a real pilot programme, and Live for cases deployed in production. The goal is to move each scenario along that path. We continuously publish new scenarios at every stage, from early concepts to production successes, so others can see what is possible today.

Scenarios

Scenarios currently span industries like telecom, tourism, hospitality, retail, mobility, housing, finance, and government. Highlights include:

  • Acme Accountants (Finance, Live): Client identity verification for KYC compliance under Dutch anti-money laundering law, replacing passport copies with a wallet-based disclosure.
  • Acme Benefits (Government, Pilot): Benefits calculator for Dutch municipalities where citizens share verified personal data to discover eligible subsidies.
  • Acme Telecom (Telecom, Concept): SIM activation with a regulatory identity check satisfied by a wallet-based disclosure.
  • Acme Hotels (Hospitality, Concept): Online hotel check-in where guests verify identity from their phone and skip the front desk.
  • Acme Drive (Mobility, Concept): Unlock a shared car by proving driving licence validity and minimum age.
  • Acme Social (Retail, Concept): Age verification for social media sign-up compliant with the EU Digital Services Act.

Getting Started

  1. Browse the scenarios at Playground and pick one that interests you.
  2. Follow the on-screen instructions to start the flow.
  3. Scan the QR code with a compatible wallet and complete the interaction on your device.
  4. The scenario updates in real time to show the result.
