Overview¶
Thales delivers identity documents around the world and has been supporting their digitalization for over 20 years, with, notably, a steadfast and consistent commitment to ISO 18013 and 23220 standards. Our Civil Identity suite covers the full spectrum of identity solutions for governments, from the creation of identity with Citizen registration to the issuance of documents in both physical and digital forms, and services to enable the use and verification of these documents in business flows.
We support digital identity wallet ecosystems with field-proven components: * Onboarding solutions to verify a user's identity from their existing documents and biometrics * Issuing digital credentials in various formats and templates * Storing digital credentials in purposed-built mobile applications * Verifying digital credentials in proximity and remotely
Credential Verification¶
Thales's Digital Credential Verification service provides online verification of digital credential presentations. It takes care of Digital Identity Wallet and Trust Framework interactions to offload the digital identity specific burdens from the client service provider without limiting use cases to specific credential formats or templates.
The front-end provided in the playground is registered as a logical verifier. It is synchronized with the Credential Issuance, so that this emulated service provider supports the same credential templates as defined for issuance.

Playground¶
Thales's Digital Credential Verification service is meant to integrate with back-end systems and doesn't provide a front-end.
A purposed-build front-end is deployed on the playground to simulate the interaction with a relying party back-end.
To accommodate interoperability testing with the freshest version of standards, the components made available are development versions: not fit for production and without any form of commitment on availability.
