Overview

Thales delivers identity documents around the world and has been supporting their digitalization for over 20 years, with, notably, a steadfast and consistent commitment to ISO 18013 and 23220 standards. Our Civil Identity suite covers the full spectrum of identity solutions for governments, from the creation of identity with Citizen registration to the issuance of documents in both physical and digital forms, and services to enable the use and verification of these documents in business flows.

We support digital identity wallet ecosystems with field-proven components: * Onboarding solutions to verify a user's identity from their existing documents and biometrics * Issuing digital credentials in various formats and templates * Storing digital credentials in purposed-built mobile applications * Verifying digital credentials in proximity and remotely

Credential Issuance

Thales's Trusted Credential Platform is a multi-issuer, multi-document, wallet-neutral issuance hub. It provides a flexible hierarchy of roles based on both tenancy and logical separations to accommodate various operational configurations. Its administration portal enables autonomous key and credential template management, including intuitive definition of credential templates.

The front-end provided in the playground is registered as a logical issuer within a dedicated tenant. The administration of this tenant is done by Thales: * Synchronization of issuing keys (DS / IACA) with shared VICAL * Credential templates according to relevant rulebooks * It is not made publicly available

Playground

Thales's Trusted Credential Platform is meant to integrate with back-end systems and doesn't provide front-end except for administration interfaces.

A purposed-build front-end is deployed on the playground to simulate the interaction with an issuer back-end.

To accommodate interoperability testing with the freshest version of standards, the components made available are development versions: not fit for production and without any form of commitment on availability.
